Ministry of Education (MOE) would like to refer to Letter to Editor by Liong Kam Chong, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, published in THE New Straits Times dated 13 September 2010 on the issue of – Never too late to revert.
Science and Mathematics curriculum has always been designed and developed to provide opportunities for students to acquire science and mathematics knowledge and skills not only by doing experiments and hands-on activities in the classroom but also gathering information on the developments in science and technology. Students are encouraged to read articles from books, magazines, newspapers, journals and accessing the internet which are mostly written in the English language even before PPSMI was introduced.
Example : Revised Science Curriculum KBSM in 2003 (in Bahasa Malaysia)
